exploring the historic homes in our community. Hike or bike the groomed trails, or golf at one of the many beautiful, challenging courses in the area. If you visit during the winter, you will find downhill and cross country skiing within a few miles of Red Wing.

Be sure and leave enough time to visit our own historic Red Wing Pottery where you can watch potters at work seven days a week and purchase a little something from their gift shop.

Another great attraction in town is the Red Wing Shoe factory, showroom and museum.

The Mighty Mississippi is at your beck and call in Red Wing. Sit on the levee, within a stones throw from the St. James Hotel, and watch eagles soar over the river looking for a fresh catch of fish for lunch. It's great fun just to watch the huge river barges maneuver their way through the narrow channel in front of the St. James Hotel.
